Remote in it’s mountainside setting Costa Rica's "Hidden Jewel" Palacio de Paz is rustic yet deluxe and just three miles from Flamingo just across the bay. Be prepared with camera to meet parrots, large iguanas, coatimundi, howler monkeys, and many more local animal inhabitants on the estate grounds. Other local activities such as jet skiing, sunset cruises, horseback riding, ATV tours, snorkeling, scuba diving and bill fishing day trips are all easily arranged through our staff or your travel agent. Overnight trips to white water rafting, hiking, waterfalls, and volcano tours need to be booked at least four weeks in advance, while bill fishing requires an eight week advance booking. We can recommend the right tour guide for your activity requirements.

For the perfect laid back Costa Rican afternoon, we can provide an unforgettable beach picnic just two minutes down the mountain to our very romantic beach, seldom discovered by tourists, Playa Prieta. (good swimming, shade if wanted, and secluded. Take a fishing pole. If you catch something edible, our kitchen staff can be arranged to prepare it for you.)

Although Palacio de Paz can make available at prevailing rates shuttle service to and from the Liberia Airport, we strongly suggest that visitors arrange for a rental car waiting upon arrival at the airport. Many roads leading to beach areas have been upgraded and there are many road signs visible to help make your stay in Costa Rica a memorable, exotic, and fun experience.
